BUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

Improve the information
you can actually control.

A catalogue-quality issue may come from missing attributes, unclear content or a field your account cannot directly change. I begin with the actual listings and permitted edits, then create a prioritised plan that separates content work from offer, inventory and operational decisions. A quality score is useful evidence, not a promised ranking.

Who this is for
Eligible ecommerce brands, manufacturers, distributors and retailers managing products on Walmart Marketplace, with the market and account scope agreed before work.

WHAT THE WORK COVERS

Specialist work.
A connected plan.

A practical scope for Walmart SEO, with recommendations tied to your business goals and the evidence available.

01 / FOCUS

Marketplace and permission baseline

Confirm the market, catalogue and priority items in scope. Review what your account can edit and which data sources or approvals affect the listing. Shared content, restrictions and unresolved catalogue issues are recorded before proposing updates or assuming that every submitted change will appear.

02 / FOCUS

Quality and discoverability diagnosis

Review available Listing Quality insights and relevant content-issue exports. Group recurring gaps by product type and attribute, distinguishing content issues from offer or availability concerns. Reports are interpreted within their documented coverage and date rather than treated as real-time proof of every customer exposure.

03 / FOCUS

Accurate product content

Map useful buyer language to genuine product details and prepare clearer titles, descriptions and attributes within applicable rules. Your team verifies identifiers, dimensions, materials and claims. Prioritise accurate distinctions between similar items instead of adding unsupported terms to increase apparent relevance.

04 / FOCUS

Remediation and validation

Create an approved item-level change register and recheck whether accepted edits appear correctly. Route unresolved catalogue or permission problems to the responsible owner. Advertising, repricing, fulfilment operations, account administration and API integration are separate work unless explicitly included.

A CLEAR HANDOVER

Useful outputs.
Clear next steps.

Agree on deliverables, responsibilities and access before the work starts. Recommendations and implementation are separated clearly in your scope.

01 / A priority-item and editable-field baseline

02 / A content and discoverability issue register

03 / Product-specific copy and attribute briefs

04 / An approved remediation and measurement checklist

PLANNING EXAMPLE / NOT A CLIENT CASE STUDY

What a practical starting point could look like.

For a hypothetical storage-products brand, several items might have inconsistent capacity attributes and vague titles. The plan would verify the product facts, identify which fields the seller can change and prioritise accepted corrections before assessing movement in available quality reports.

MEASURE WHAT MATTERS

Progress needs
the right context.

Track resolved content issues and accepted listing changes alongside relevant impressions, engagement and orders where reports allow. Record inventory, price and advertising changes as context. Listing Quality scores and content snapshots are diagnostic tools; they do not guarantee organic rank, sales or profitable growth.

Discuss your goals ↗

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Good questions.
Clear answers.

The right scope starts with a shared understanding of the work and its limits.

Ask a question ↗

Does a high Listing Quality score guarantee ranking?

No. It can help identify areas to improve, but it is not a guaranteed search position or a complete measure of buyer demand and business performance.

Can every catalogue field be changed?

Not necessarily. Permissions, shared information and platform rules can limit edits. The initial assessment documents what can be changed and how unresolved issues should be handled.

Will you build a Walmart API integration?

No. Official bulk-report capabilities inform the research, but building or maintaining an integration is separate engineering work. Existing authorised exports can be used where available.

Does this include pricing, fulfilment or sponsored ads?

Those are separate commercial and operational scopes. They may be recorded when interpreting performance, but are not changed without specific authorisation.
